Service Terms and Material Disclaimer

Effective Date: March 9, 2026

These Service Terms govern all custom laser engraving, marking, and cutting services provided by Solocraft. By submitting an order, requesting a quote, or providing materials for processing, you agree to the following terms.

1. Digital Proofs and Approvals

To ensure your project is completed exactly as imagined, Solocraft provides a digital proof for all custom work. It is the client’s responsibility to review this proof for spelling, grammar, layout, and design accuracy. Once we receive your explicit approval (via email or text), Solocraft is not responsible for errors that were present in the approved proof.

2. Customer-Supplied Materials

We take extreme care with every item brought into our shop. However, laser engraving and cutting involve high-intensity heat and mechanical processes. By providing your own materials (for example tumblers, wood slabs, or heirlooms), you acknowledge that there is an inherent risk of material failure, unforeseen reactions to the laser, or machine error.

Solocraft’s liability for customer-supplied items is limited strictly to the cost of the engraving service provided and does not include the replacement value of the item. Solocraft does not offer replacement, reimbursement, or compensation for the value of customer-supplied items.

3. Natural Material Variations

Part of the beauty of "The Craft" is working with natural materials. Please be aware that wood, leather, and stone have organic variations in grain, density, and moisture content. These natural factors can result in slight differences in engraving depth or color across the same piece. These variations are considered natural characteristics of the material and not defects in workmanship.

4. Project Timelines and Appointments

Solocraft is a professional studio operating by appointment only. While most custom projects are completed within 1 to 2 business days, turnaround times are estimates and may vary based on project complexity or current shop volume. We will communicate clearly if any delays are expected.

5. Payment and Pickup

We accept e-transfer, cash, and corporate cheques. For large corporate or bulk orders, a deposit may be required before work commences. Completed items must be picked up within 30 days of notification. Items left beyond 60 days without prior arrangement may be subject to storage fees or disposal at Solocraft’s discretion.

6. Copyright and Design Rights

If you provide a logo or artwork for engraving, you warrant that you own the rights to that design or have obtained permission for its use. Solocraft reserves the right to refuse any project that may violate copyright, trademark, or intellectual property laws. Solocraft also reserves the right to photograph completed projects for use in our professional portfolio, marketing materials, and social media unless you explicitly request otherwise in writing.
